Saturday, September 7, 2013 @ 7:00 am Surf Club, Madison Town Beach, Surf Club Rd, Madison, CT. No rain date. In case of inclement weather, race director reserves the right to shorten the course, hold a duathlon, or a 10K run. Wetsuits allowed. Race director reserves the right to accept or reject any entry. Field is limited to 500, combination of individual and team entries, and historically sells out well in advance.
.5 mile swim in Long Island Sound (wetsuits allowed), 13 mile bike around through the back roads of Madison, 3 mile run along the beautiful Madison shore. Download Map
Packet pick-up will be held at Zane’s Cycles on Friday September 6th. Participants will be able to pick up their race packet, EXCLUDING their timing chip, at the store to make check-in on Saturday morning easier.
Packets (and timing chips) will be available at the Surf Club starting at 5:30 am on race day.
I-95 to Exit 61 (Route 79). Turn south onto Rte. 79. Proceed to 3rd traffic light at intersection of Rte. 1. Turn right onto Rte. 1 and proceed for approximately ½ mile. Turn left onto West Wharf Road (Madison CC is on the corner). Proceed to next stop sign and turn right onto Surf Club Road.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group. The first male and first female overall will each receive $200 in prize money, $150 will be awarded to the second place overall finishers, and $100 for the two finishers in third place overall. INDIVIDUAL RACE DIVISIONS AND AWARDS: Ages 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+. Both male and female awards will be given to the top 3 in each age group, Plus Clydesdale categories for males 200+ lbs., and females 150+ lbs.
All Male, All Female and Mixed Teams – Awards to each member of the top finishing team in each division.
This event SOLD OUT nearly two months in advance the past six years and we expect another sellout in 2013. The field is limited to 400 individuals and 30 relay teams. There is nothing worse than being turned away on race morning, so we encourage you to secure a spot by pre-registering. No refunds or exchanges of registrations is allowed.

RAFFLE:
The Jaycees will hold a raffle with proceeds going to the Dave Parcells Swim Fund for Cancer and MS. Tickets are $10 each and the grand prize is a Specialized Tarmac Expert bike, valued at $3,500 and generously donated by our sponsor Zane’s Cycles. Tickets are sold online at the time of registration or may be purchased at the event. Winners do not need to be present for the drawing to win. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold.
